i ordered this item twice, the second one being a replacement. the first one started off fine and suddenly got a burning smell and it stopped working.. so ordered for a replacement, and after two weeks, i used it for a few mins and it stopped working for no reason. i thought breville was a good brand but this item proved me wrong… so dont wate ur money…!

Product does all that is expected of it. Thermostatic feature takes a bit of getting used to and heating time does not compare with my ceramic hob, but it does the job effectively. I bought this as a stop gap while I await a replacement ceramic hob which has gone wrong.

My cooker gave up the ghost recently so I bought the Andrew James Double Hob which has enabled me to boil eggs, vegetables, rice etc. again. I already have a table-top grill/oven so am now more or less self-sufficient. Don’t think I’ll bother with another cooker!

Could do with a bigger and more robust bowl, but given the very reasonable price we are pleased with this product.

I have to say the product looks good, and works pretty well. The downsides are that it feels like it could break in a second, and the bowl on the top is tiny. Hardly anything fits in it, so making anything like a normal sized cake, means you have to weigh the ingredients in batches. Which is rather annoying. I think ill keep these as they look good in the kitchen, but continue to use my electric scales that allow for any sized bowl to be added on top.

Best scale I have owned and with children, I go through a few! Yes I know digital are more accurate but where’s the fun in that?!
Would recommend highly if you are fed up of batteries going in digital scales!
